Spring Makes Clouds Makes Rains

This album is about fishing, well, loosely so. Usually, the initial idea I have for an album and what is finally produced are different things. Spring time is a time of rebirth. In many ways it's the true new year. It always feels good to get on the water after a long winter.

While I don't like to release an album with fewer than seven tracks, I received two important modules this week: Cirrus and Rains. Track #6 "Spring Makes Clouds Makes Rains" is based on these two modules. Rains is a resonator based on the Rings module that was produced by Mutable Instruments. Likewise, Cirrus is a granular audio processor which was also produced by Mutable Instrument as Clouds.

Mutable Instrument ceased operations in December 2022. However, Mutable Instruments founder Emillie Gillet's design are open source. For those of us in the AE Modular community, this marks the first time we've had access to these ground breaking modules in our format.

I will complete the album over the next few weeks as fishing and product orders dominate life as of now.
