After three years of composition, and with a little help from the major professor from my music school days, Dr. Jonathan Noffsinger, Associate Professor of Saxophone and Jazz Director of Graduate Studies at the University of Alabama, I've decided to call this "style" of music minimalist electronic fusion, or minimalist modular fusion.

The minimalist aspect is inspired by the ground breaking works of La Monte Young, Terry Riley and Steve Reich specifically. (Of course, I mean no disrespect to Phillip Glass.) Electronic/modular as the instrument is a modular synthesizer. Fusion in that in many patches, a generative solo voice improvises atop a minimalist accompaniment, inspired by the work of Miles Davis via Bitches Brew. There is also a strong modal influence as pioneered by both John Coltrane and Miles. In fact the title track "Phriygia's Dance" is composed in Phrygian mode.

At any rate, enjoy! I probably won't produce anywhere near as much music for the rest of the year as the fishing season is about to start, orders are about to pour in via the fishing tackle business, and I'll won't have the time as I do now.
