Happy New Year! Merry Christmastide for those who celebrate the Twelve Days of Christmas. During the holidays I like to compose more as the fishing slows during the coldest part of the year. Winter is difficult. The days are short. The cold has a way of creeping in both physically, emotionally. Many people suffer depression during this time of year, thus "Cold's Creep" and "Doldrum's Toll" represent the bitterness of winter.

However, there is hope. "The Solstice" comes just before Christmas. The planet literally begins to tilt forward. Days lengthen. Nights shorten. Although it is imperceptible, the solstice will lead toward brighter days. This culminates in "Today Is the Day that God Made." Fishing will commence not too long from now. Spring will be here before we know it. There is hope.

The first three tracks are more like experiments. In some way they represent the passage of time during winter when I'm not fishing for making videos.

I hope you enjoy this album.
