Quasiwaltz for the Yuletide

Christmas makes me think of waltzes. I almost always listen to Coltrane's rendition of "My Favorite Things" and "Greensleeves" from the Africa/Brass album.

This is also the second track featuring the rbss module from Wonky Stuff. I love minimalism in modern western art music, as well as modalism in jazz as pioneered by Miles Davis in the Kind of Blue album. I've wondered if it was possible to combine the two: minimalism in the background using polyrhythms and phasing methods pioneered by Steve Reich, taken from various African traditions which feature polyrhythmic drums, combined with an improvised voice above the texture like Miles.
