Minor Happiness

about

Minor Happiness is the second movement to Major Blues. In fact the title should be Major Blues, Minor Happiness. But, it's my album, I can do as I please.

This piece is very much influenced by the phasing techniques originally pioneered by composer Steve Reich. Particularly Piano Phase and Reed Phase.

PATCH NOTES
This patch relies on the new TRIP module for AE Modular. It's a trigger processor. It can delay, accelerate or randomize any trigger.

You have two melodies playing exactly the same line. What adds texture, ambiance is that one is played slightly faster or slower than the other. Furthermore, I put both voices through a classic PT2399 delay. From there everything is run through the MULTIFX module in ping pong mode.

The AE Modular has massive delay capability between the TRIP, DELAY and MULTIFX modules.
