Duet for Noise and Three Oscillators

from Bells | A Christmas Album by Black Warrior Lures

about

The oxymoron of the old Baroque era trio sonatas tickled my bran one day. The Baroque trio sonata usually had four musicians: two violins and a continuo, where the continuo consisted of two parts: harpsichord/bassoon, cello/small organ for instance. In fact the bass line was played by a cello/basson, and the organ/harpsichord would harmonize the figured bass. In jazz terms this would be the rhythm section.

PATCH NOTES: Here there is a continuo of sorts: a drone that consists of two parts: noise and a single oscillator. The duet consists of the two inner oscillators playing an improvised duet via random-bit-shift-sequencer and a sample-and-hold module.
